TomTom and TeleAtlas recently revealed a study they put together on traffic congestion in U.S. cities.
They calculated the percentage of congested roadways but using their crowd sourced speed data from millions of drivers with GPS devices over the last two years, historical speed databases. The study defined congestion as driving at a speed less than 70% of the posted limit.
Bay Area of CA is probably the worst place to live as far as traffic is concerned since they have the most number of cities in this list.
