Sony just unveiled a new digital camera with a very long list of impressive features for only $350. They are currently taking pre-orders and starting to ship as soon as January 25th.

We’ll list a few of those features here but first and foremost what we care about the most. The Sony Cyber-shot HX5V features a GPS receiver and a digital compass to keep track of where you take pictures:

An integrated GPS receiver and compass record the location and direction of every shot you take and let you view your images on a map with compatible computer and internet applications, so you can remember where you took your favorite shots

Some of the other features we do not know much about but even we can tell fitting a 10x optical zoom on a point shoot camera this size is not easy. HX5V has a 3″ LCD display, anti-motion blur mode, high speed shooting, image stabilization, handheld twilight mode which takes 6 images in a row to make sure your night shot comes out OK, 1080i hi def movie mode, HDMI out, and a whole lot more.

All this for $350! Nice.
