navizon-tag.jpgMexens Technology, announced the launch of the newest version of the Navizon software for use with Windows Smartphones, cellular phones that run the Windows Mobile software. This revolutionary new version of Navizon offers an increased accuracy when using cellular signals for positioning. In addition to Windows smartphones, Navizon’s software is also currently compatible with Windows-based Pocket PCs and cell phones using the Symbian operating system, and is free for non-commercial use.

The innovative Navizon software works by triangulating signal measurements from cell towers and Wi-Fi access points. Once a map of the wireless landscape for a certain area has been created with a GPS device, members can sync this data and share it with the rest of the Navizon network, thereby allowing other users to enjoy a software-only positioning system with their wireless device, completely independent of carrier.

"This new version of Navizon for Windows smartphones reaches out to a whole new branch of users," said Cyril Houri, founder of Navizon. "Our membership has doubled each month, creating a powerful network with members all over the world. We have people mapping their areas constantly all around the world. This shared information is at the very center of what makes Navizon a powerful tool."

In addition, Navizon adds revolutionary new features that allow members groundbreaking new ways of sharing information. These include three innovative features: the Buddy Tracker, Local Search and Geotag.

"Navizon has become a fantastic tool," said Houri. "With it, members are sharing information and data all over the world."
