GlobalSat’s new DG-GPS Data Logger, BT-359CS Bluetooth GPS Receiver and GH-615 GPS Sports Watch
GlobalSat is launching the
following Global Positioning System (GPS) products in North America (and in other contry of the world) in July 2007:
1. GlobalSat DG-100 GPS Data Logger
2. GlobalSat BT-359CS Bluetooth GPS Receiver
3. GlobalSat GH-615M GPS Sports Watch
Using a similarly competitive pricing and localized support that has made them a leader in the industry, GlobalSat Technology is quietly expanding and refining its product line, leaving an indelible footprint in the GPS marketplace.
DG-100 GPS Data Logger
To satisfy customers’ unique applications, the GlobalSat DG-100 GPS Data Logger offers a variety of advanced options; for example, the user interface allows data to be exported in various formats for use with many other third party programs including Google Maps and Google Earth.
The DG-100 is completely self-contained, with built-in antenna and enough internal memory to log up to 60,000 waypoints. It records time, date, speed, altitude and GPS location using preset intervals, which the user can configure with the included utility software. The DG-100 provides the most accurate positioning and tracking available on the market and can also double as a USB GPS receiver for laptops.
T-359CS Bluetooth GPS Receiver
The next generation of Bluetooth GPS receivers is launching with the GlobalSat BT-359CS. This Bluetooth GPS is both stylish and functional in true GlobalSat tradition. With Bluetooth version 2.0 and a built-in ceramic patch antenna, the BT-359CS provides fast acquisition times and improved accuracy in urban canyons and under dense foliage. The large capacity battery enables the BT-359CS to operate for up to 11 hours and supports WAAS / EGNOS for even greater accuracy. The new BT-359CS now includes a slide switch to override the 10-minute auto shut-off feature that is built into most every GlobalsSat GPS receiver, which turns off the unit after 10 minutes of no Bluetooth connectivity. This conserves battery life should the GPS be left on by accident, however in specific application where the GPS receiver is being used for tracking (AVL), the need to keep the receiver on at all times can now be accomplished with the new BT-359CS model. Both the BT-395 and new BT359CS will be available from several online resellers in addition to local AT&T retail stores.
GlobalSat GH-615M GPS Sports Watch
For hikers, runners, bikers, skiers or any other athlete who incorporates GPS technology to fine tune their workout, the GH-615M GPS wrist watch is the ideal device. The watch utilizes state-of-the-art technology including the SiRF Star III GPS chipset that is available in all the new product lines. The wrist watch also supports WAAS / EGNOS for superior precision marking and has enough memory to store up to 60,000 waypoints. The GH-615M records and stores traveled routes using pre-set time intervals on its oversized LCD screen, displaying GPS coordinates, speed, heart rate, altitude, laps, time/alarm functions and various other functions.
Because the GH-615M is IPX7 water resistant, it is perfect for use in the wettest outdoor conditions. It can also be connected via a USB cable (included) to double as a GPS receiver for laptops. This functionality keeps users connected whether they are in the office, in a vehicle or outdoors.
Recorded data is downloaded to a PC where it can be saved into formats for use by a variety of third party programs such as Google Earth and Google Maps. File formats include .CSV, .TXT and .KML
