Mio DigiWalker C520 portable GPS navigation and entertainment device, originally shown at CES 2007, is now available to North American customers. The widescreen device boasts several “firsts” for Mio’s product lineup, including a large 4.3-inch split-screen display, text-to-speech driving instructions and enhanced Bluetooth(R) capabilities.
The most striking feature of the C520 is the large 4.3-inch widescreen display, which can be set to either a full-screen map view or a unique split-screen view. This setting can display additional information about upcoming intersections or provide dynamic lists of approaching point of interest locations as defined by the user. Garmin Rino 520HCx e Rino 530HCxGarmin today introduced the Rino 520HCx and Rino 530HCx, the latest in Garmin’s groundbreaking and award-winning line of two-way radios integrated with GPS technology. The new units feature a high- sensitivity GPS receiver for faster acquisition, improved accuracy in challenging outdoor environments, and the addition of a microSD card slot for detailed mapping data.

“Since its inception, the Rino line has staked claim as the only integrated device that not only lets users communicate by voice, but also send and receive their exact locations,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. “With the Rino 520HCx and 530HCx, we’ve upped the ante with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver that rapidly acquires and maintains a lock in heavy tree cover or deep canyons. New Tele Atlas 3D city maps designed to help drivers

Tele Atlas today announced it will make available nearly 50 detailed 3D (three dimensional) city maps for use in navigation devices and location-based applications. The first Tele Atlas 3D city maps will be released in July 2007, including maps for major European cities such as Berlin, London and Rome; additional European, U.S. and Asian cities are scheduled to be released during the next year.
