Mio C510E and C710 two new SiRFstarIII navigation devices
Mio Tech, today release two new portable navigation devices with a brand new, user-friendly interface: C710 and C510E.
Mio C710 is equipped with maps of 24 European countries and come with built in TMC receiver. The C510E is featured with the same tecnology but it is equipped with one full local country map and Major Roads of Europe. Both devices use the high sensitive SirfStar III gps chipset and the latest Tele Atlas maps available and can be used to play MP3 files or view photos via the SD card slot

SiRF Technology announced that Fujitsu Siemens Computers has incorporated a single-chip version of SiRF’s flagship SiRFstarIII GPS receiver into the new Pocket LOOX T810 and Pocket LOOX T830 smartphones. This all-integrated handheld features Windows Mobile, Direct Push e-mail and GSM/UMTS mobile phone technology along with SiRF GPS-enabled location technology to keep mobile work force in touch with their business.
The highly integrated SiRF GSC3f enables Fujitsu Siemens Computers to incorporate real-time, high-performance location awareness and navigation capabilities into a feature-rich handheld device while maintaining its compact size. The GSC3f delivers exceptional sensitivity and extremely fast time to first fix (TTFF) in a compact, 7-mm x 10-mm package that combines a complete A-GPS digital baseband processor, RF front end and 4 megabits of flash memory.
Fastrax iTrax300 new family of SiRFstarIII chipset

Media Studio for TomTom turns navigation device into portable media center
Makayama Interactive today introduces Media Studio for TomTom® 1.0. With this innovative software, consumers can turn their TomTom GO navigation system into a media and movie playback device. DVDs, recorded TV-series or any other video can be put on the TomTom using only three clicks, and can be watched on the LCD screen, with excellent sound. The software is a bundle of media conversion software and video player and is the first such product worldwide that allows media content to be converted and played back on the TomTom devices.
