NAVTEQ Maps to Power Garmin GPS Application for Mobile Phone Users
NavTeq expands its relationship with Garmin International as the digital map provider for Garmin Mobile(TM), its newest GPS-navigation application for mobile phone users. Garmin Mobile, a new application that leverages Garmin’s expertise in portable automotive navigation, delivers maps, directions, and automatic turn-by-turn routing to wireless phones. The application is Garmin’s first product offering that targets the emerging location-based services market, and is currently offered by Sprint on select Sprint PCS handsets.

Fujitsu Media Devices (FMD) and Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) are today introducing a new compact AGPS/GPS module suitable for mobile devices.
