Garmin GMA 347 the Next Generation Audio Panel for aviation

Garmin today introduced the GMA 347 audio panel. The GMA 347 builds upon the successful attributes of the GMA 340 while adding distinctive features such as automatic squelch, digital clearance recorder, full-duplex telephone interface, and additional inputs.
"The GMA 347 audio panel meets the needs of aircraft owners who require industry leading communication integration," said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. "The versatility of the audio switching functions helps reduce cockpit workload and makes the flight more enjoyable for the pilot and crew."

Improved navigation performance with first Modernized GPS Satellite launched by the U.S. Air Force

The first modernized Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite built by Lockheed Martin for the U.S. Air Force, was successfully launched yesterday at 11:37 p.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral. The satellite is the most technologically advanced GPS satellite ever developed and will provide significantly improved navigation performance for U.S. military and civilian users worldwide.
The satellite is the first in a series of eight GPS IIR satellites that Lockheed Martin is modernizing for its customer at the Navstar GPS Joint Program Office, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif.
